Passion
a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything
Do you know what you are passionate about? What sets your soul on fire? What are the topics you cannot shut up about? What makes you feel good? What do you have the most fun doing? Answer those questions and you will have a few of your passions. There are no right or wrong passions – everyone will have different passions because we all believe in different things and have different viewpoints on life. Everyone is unique, you cannot compare yourself to anyone in the world because everyone is incomparable. We are all our own. You are you, I am I.
Purpose
the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc.
Have you ever thought about what your purpose is for being alive? I am a firm believer that “passion fuels purpose.” Think about this… We don’t just do things just to do them. We do things to feel some type of emotion. We do things that make us feel like what we’re doing is important. Do the things that make you feel empowered, the things that make your heart beat faster, the things that make a difference in not only your life but someone else’s as well. Do something for the thrill of it, you may just find your passion.
I am myself’s biggest cheerleader – there isn’t going to be anyone else in the world who is going to pump myself up more than me. I clap for myself for a lot of things because I know I worked so hard to get where I am today. I know the things that I am capable of, I know where I want to go in life, and most importantly I know exactly who I am. In case you don’t know me, my name is Kiana Marie Johnson. It’s nice to meet ya. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I do not waste time. I do not give my time freely. I am a very busy woman. I’m constantly working on myself for my own self-improvement to get the most out of this beautiful thing called life that has been given to me by God.
Dentistry
I actually went to college with the hopes of becoming a doctor. I wanted to be a Dentist and then I decided nah it’s not for me… I chose a different route. I chose Dental Assisting. This was like a “foot in the door” for me. I have been a Dental Assistant for 3 years now and I could not be happier with the career choice I chose. Dental Assisting has taught me so much about myself and health in general. Dentists are not just Dentists and Dental Assistants are not just Assistants.
Why do I love Dental Assisting so much?
Although I love a nice white smile and teeth, it’s not just about the teeth. You form real relationships with your patients and get to know them and their lives. This is one of my favorite things about being an assistant. I love talking, so getting to know people who were once strangers is fun to me. You may even sometimes hang out with them outside of the office and have them on your social media – because you gained a new friend through work! I love helping people get out of pain, comforting them, and making them laugh. Not a whole lot of people will say, “I love the dentist.” I don’t even like the dentist. Being the patient freaks me out, so being able to comfort other people through dental procedures is rewarding to me. My day flies by because I am always busy doing something. As a dental assistant you are constantly busy. I believe there is a huge difference between a “good” Dental Assistant and a “great” Dental Assistant. I will cover more things about Dental Assisting in a future post, so stay tuned.
If you are considering a career in the Dental Field I encourage you to talk to me and ask me questions. I could talk your ear off about Dentistry. It is a super fun career, especially when you work for an incredible doctor with an amazing team! Trust me, you would not regret this decision.
working hard for something we don’t care about is stress, but working hard for something we love… that’s passion. – Simon Sinek
Riding my Motorcycle
Exhilarating. This has got to be one of the funnest things on this earth. At least it is to me anyways. I feel like such a badass when I’m riding. HAHA. I cannot wait to upgrade and have my dream motorcycle. It will be all black and decked out, believe me. It will be nothing short of the sexiest bike you have ever seen. I have my husband to thank for instilling this hobby that I’ve become super passionate about. Thanks babe.
Giving Advice/Exhortation
I have always loved having deep conversations with people. I truly want to understand people. Especially the people who are closest to me. I know I don’t have all the right answers, but what I do have is life experience. I have learned so much about who I am through past experiences. I know where people want to go in life without them even telling me their “goal” or “end result” and I know what to do to help them achieve that. I love encouraging people and helping them reach success in whatever they do. If you ever need encouragement or some hyping up, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m your girl.
Listening to Music
I have music playing constantly. I need it. I am that girl that is listening to hip-hop and R&B music one minute, and the next I’m praising the Lord. Honestly, I love all music. I don’t have a favorite. If you asked me what my favorite song was I couldn’t give you an answer. Listening to music takes me places. Places I have been before and places I have yet to go. It is a very powerful thing when you start to think about what music really is.
Writing/Blogging
Who remembers the Tumblr days? Lol, I used to love Tumblr so much. I blogged about lifestyle posts. I remember how many different Tumblr layouts I had and all of the hours I spent on that website. My Tumblr is still live you can view it at: https://cocoa33.tumblr.com/ Check it out because I posted beautiful things on there I’m not kidding you. I haven’t been on there in about a year – I will be reblogging soon. My page is so me. If you want to see some of the things I’m into go look at it. I love reading other people’s blogs as well. One of my favorite bloggers is Olivia Rink. She is a beautiful woman inside and out! You can check her blog out at: OliviaRink.com
I love writing, I write when I feel the most expressive, when I feel creative, or when I feel like I have something to say. Writing has always been one of my favorite things. I love writing so much that I actually wrote my husbands last paper ever in college. Yes, you guessed it. He received an A. Shocker. HAHAHAH. I have journals. What’s great about writing things down in the moment is you know exactly how you feel or what you were thinking at that specific point and time. When you go back and read the things you wrote about you remember the emotions you felt at the time you wrote it. I love that.
Motivation
having a strong reason to act or accomplish something
If you aren’t motivated in the morning and ready to tackle life, I feel bad for you. What are you doing with your life? You need to make a change! A positive one at that. Do the things that set your soul on fire everyday. Be around the people that bring out the absolute best in you. Bring good energy wherever you go. Encourage others to be the best versions of themselves as they can be. A negative mentality for every day things in life is so incredibly sad to me. You have all the power in the world to change what you’re doing. Don’t give me those excuses. Change your thinking, change your life.
I will forever be mindful of what and who I allow in my life.
Seek what sets your soul on fire, and don’t stop pursuing it until you are satisfied.
Passion fuels purpose and in those things I find life’s fulfillments.
