In this blog I am sharing my opinions on the Costco brand, Kirkland, diapers and wipes. Honestly, they are great. We are loving the diapers. We like the wipes, but not so much for poopy diapers. Lol.💩😂 I wrote this in April. April 22, 2022 to be exact and am finally getting around to sharing/posting it. It is September ahahahah. September 22, 2022 to be exact. I’m a numbers person so it’s a funny coincidence that I would be uploading and finishing this blog post exactly 6 months later. I have had a productive summer season and am excited for the change of season and slowing down. Anywho, I have been using the Kirkland diaper and wipes for almost 6 months now, so we have been pleased with them overall in comparison to other diapers and wipes.
The Diapers
Honestly, they feel like high quality diapers. I like them more than pampers. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they curl up from time to time. What do I mean by that? When you are changing a poopy diaper you might waste one because your new diaper will get poop on it simply because the diaper doesn’t stay flat. I have tried to bend it so it doesn’t do that, but that’s really the only downfall to these diapers for me.
Reasons why I love the diapers:
- Cost: Bang for your buck in terms of both quantity and quality
- Quantity: Quantity varies per size
- Sizes: 1 – 192 , 2 – 174 ,Size 3 – 222, 4 – 198, 5 – 168, 6 – 132
- Cute patterns: It’s just fun to have cute patterns
- Super soft feel for baby: This is a must – some diapers are just not it. I want my babies to feel like they’re wearing cashmere LOL
- Elastic back strap: This helps so much – we have had far less blowouts with these vs. pampers diapers
- Size indicators: These are great to help you know when to size up to the next diaper if you can’t tell yourself…
- Velcro stabilizer: These are not shared in my YouTube video, but in almost all other boxes I have purchased since then they have been on the front of the diaper to help it stay up when you have a pretty soiled dirty diaper
The Wipes
Honestly, they are great for pee diapers and wiping up the hands/face of my toddler after snacks and meal time. I do not like them nearly as much as I do pampers. It seems like you have to really wipe to get the poop off of your kids butts and that’s just not my jam. I don’t like using an excessive amount of wipes at each diaper change. I think they are less wet than pampers wipes. I have only purchased Fragrance Free wipes; however, they do have a Fresh Spring Scent wipe that I have yet to see in stores. I would like to try that scent of wipes. I will continue to buy these wipes when they are in stock at my local Costco.
What I like about the wipes:
- Cost: Bang for your buck in terms of quantity. $22.99 original price, sometimes they are on sale for $19.99.
- Quantity: 900 wipes per box, 9 packages of wipes per box
- 100 wipes per package: Love 100 wipes vs. 80, but the quality in comparison to pampers is just not there for me
- Size: These are big wipes and that’s great
I hope this was helpful to anyone considering making the switch. I know I am sure glad we have found diapers and wipes that both are kids are happy and comfortable wearing. If you are thinking of making the switch to Costco brand, Kirkland, diaper and wipes just do it. You won’t regret it.
