All of the essentials you need in your diaper bag for ages 0-3 months.
My Diaper Bag is packed for my almost 2 month old. It has everything I am currently using for her.
I am diving right into my Diaper Bag to tell you all of the items we currently carry on the go! The Itzy Ritzy Boss Backpack is the perfect Diaper Bag for moms of all ages of children. Everything that is in our Diaper Bag are essentials for the mom with a 0-3 Month old. In our Diaper Bag we pack everything from Diapering, Medicines, Clothes, and things for mama. I would much rather have everything I need than to have to run to Target or the Gas Station to pick up a missing item from my Diaper Bag.
WHY DO I LOVE THIS DIAPER BAG?
I love this bag because it is very cute and fits my personal style. It has an immense amount of storage internally and externally to fit all of your essentials. In total it has 10 internal pockets and 7 external pockets. That is a lot of storage! A changing pad is also included with this Diaper Bag as well. The changing pad is gorgeous. On the back of the changing pad it is black and white herringbone pattern with cursive printed “head” and “toes” on the front to help with coordination. I also love that there are patent pending rubber feet on the bottom to help the bag stand on its own and helps to keep it clean. This bag is simply the best! I recommend it for all mama’s.
CLOTHES
I carry additional clothes with me just in case Nevaeh has a blowout or if I simply want to change her outfit. She is so blessed with many clothes. I change her 3-4 times a day to make sure she gets to wear all her newborn and 0-3 months sized clothing. I never leave the house without white onesies both long and short sleeve, 1 sleeper, 2 additional complete outfits (including accessories), and socks. We use the mesh zipper compartments for her extra clothes and the side compartments for her socks and accessories.
BABY MEDICINES
Since Nevaeh is struggling with gas and constipation, we carry DG Health’s Gas Drops to help alleviate her discomfort. I could not find our exact gas relief drops that are pictured, but we do also own Mommy’s Bliss Probiotics Drops and these work great too! She can have up to 0.3ml/drops every 2-3 hours with her age. I carry a nasal aspirator to keep her nose clear and in case of a potential choking hazard as this item can be used in the mouth too. This tool is really easy to use and works well for us. I also like to carry Boogie Wipes to clean her nose as it is gentle and does not irritate her nose. We use the small side compartments to keep her nail clipper & file, nasal aspirator, and her gas relief drops. We use the front compartment in our Diaper Bag for her boogie wipes.
FEEDING & NURSING
Let’s talk about feeding and nursing. Nevaeh is breastfed, so I keep 2 sets of disposable nursing pads in our Diaper Bag at all times to help me stay dry. I do not carry nipple cream, my breast pump, or bottles in our Diaper Bag as these are products that I do not use or find necessary at this time. Burp Cloths for when baby is in need of burping after a feeding session for spit up and cleaning her face as she tends to be a sloppy eater and gets milk all over. We keep 1 blanket for feeding/swaddling when we are out and about. We use the front compartment for our disposable nursing pads and keep the burp cloths and blankets in our Diaper Bag on top of the snacks for easy access.
DIAPERING
Duh! Every mama needs diapers and wipes in her Diaper Bag. LOL. I am a huge fan of Pampers. We only use Pampers for both our diapers and wipes. Nevaeh does not have a problem with this brand and we use Pampers “Sensitive” brand. It is absolutely essential to have diapers and wipes in our Diaper Bag and I never leave the house without either of these items. Newborns need their diapers changed quite frequently and I am always prepared! Our Diaper Bag has great compartments for both diapers and wipes.
EXTRAS
We recently started using Pacifiers to help Nevaeh self soothe. This has been a big help. We also use a Pacifier Clip so her pacifier won’t fall to the ground and stay clean. The brand of our pacifier clip is Loulou Lollipop – I could not find our exact Pacifier Clip pictured in this photo, but I found a similar one and have linked it below. We keep pacifiers in a small compartment located at the top of our Diaper Bag. If Nevaeh is using a pacifier, she will have the pacifier clip clipped to her outfit.
FOR MOM
Chapped lips are a pet peeve of mine and I always carry one of my favorite chapsticks, Strawberry Lip Smacker. Lately my lips have been so dry and I am really disgusted by it. I guess I need to be applying chapstick more often! Since it is winter and we live in Minnesota (a snowy and dry state at this time of year) dry hands are a thing. You can never have enough lotions. I am currently using one of my favorite Bath and Body Works scents, Love and Sunshine.
Deodorant is another must have in your Diaper Bag. I am very particular when it comes to deodorants. I have tried a lot of brands, but Dove has worked the best for me. It is important for me to be smelling fresh and clean. I have always loved Juicy Couture Scent, rollerballs are perfect for on the go travel when it comes to perfumes and making sure you always smell fabulous. It is so important to stay hydrated especially if you are breastfeeding, so don’t forget to pack your water! I love my Matte Black Starbucks cup for this as it matches the pattern of our Diaper Bag perfectly. We keep all the items for mom on the same side of the diaper bag in the side compartments inside our Diaper Bag.
